I finally received my copy of Project DIVA F 2nd last week. Hahaha! I can still remember the release of PDf back then was the reason why I bought a PS vita. New songs and button are introduced, and now you get to play levan Polkka(the tutorial song) in extreme mode once you clear any song in hard mode. And for those who had PDf, you can import your modules and items into the new game too.
So Ace, Ah Tan and me went to a new Japanese restaurant last Sunday, and our Ace here decided to do a review on the restaurant, below will be what Ace has written on the experience, anything inside the square brackets will be my own opinion.
So this is our virgin post on food adventure…
So we went to this Japanese Osaka soul food(steamboat and bbq) at level 4 of Westgate named KINOSHITA, it seems to be pretty new and not so famous(googled with limited result. Its a pretty small place but you get the homely welcome feeling from KEN and the various chatty aunties…[Yes, I have to agree that the aunties are power.]
This eatery is more on quality over quantity (we went for the BBQ over the steamboat), you can choose from ordering a set or ala carte. They do have various cuts of pork and beef to choose from, seafood and vegetables as well.
[They have 3 different sets for BBQ: Ken set, Koji Set and the Masa set.]
The set comes with a nice mild bowl of beef soup and rice.
[We were served a complimentary bowl of edamame and salad.]
1. They uses smoke to bbq the meat, NOT direct heat surface like teppanyaki which i feel is better.
2. They do have those smoke absorb device to reduce the smell, apron are provided also.
3. Their house special sauce is one of their main attraction, goes pretty well with the marinated food for grilling.[Yeah, the sauce is really good, not the sambal though, its just like those that you buy from supermarkets.]
4. Aunties are quite efficient in clearing when you get overloaded with plates.
My personal fav is the pork belly with all those glistering fat… I mean juice. YUM! Do take note to keep an eye on the meat as they are thinly sliced with lots of juice, and the pit heat up pretty quickly – those dripping juices tend to catch “fire” buring the meat edges easily unless you like your meat on the charred side.[I had so much fun setting mine on fire that I forgot to take photos.]
Since i like juicy meat, i would recommend choosing meat that are thinner with more fat content, easier to cook. Unless you prefer seafood over meat, the meat choice would offer a better value for the price.
The side order of chicken karaage is nice but on the pricey end at 6 pieces for $9. Its worth a try if you like fried chickens.
The gyoza was alright[We had tried better ones].
They do have special of the day as well – that day was various beef tongue for BBQ I think.
They do serve alcohol like wine and sake as well, so it be a good place to gather after work. We spent around $40++ per person [And a small reminder, if you are not a vegetable eater, don’t go for the set, Ace and Ah Tan have to finish mine.]
Will try the steamboat and dessert on another occasion.[I really wanted to try the ice cream but was too full. D:]
Can always drop by Isetan at basement after a meal for some dessert or snack.
And so, its 2014. But I feel nothing different from the previous year. And I notice that 2013 is quite a boring year for me. I missed so many events which I used to attend. Like cosfest, STGCC and EOY, plus a number of random events.
I got myself a new job in April, and ever since my life is like, wake up, go work, end work, go home and sleep. I missed cosfest cos of it. And I was so excited that TAM is coming to SG for STGCC in August, but I cannot go QAQ. But I still managed to get his autographs thanks to the help of a friend. And redjuice’s as well!
TAM’s autograph on my Sheryl and Yukari. 😀
redjuice’s autograph on one of my favourite piece.
Then the S.H.E. concert in October. I had been a fan of them since their debut and I missed the first time they had a concert in SG, so it was quite memorable, that is if you ignore the fact that I was surrounded by very anti-climax people.
And then, its AFA, which can be considered the best few days of the whole year. Didn’t managed to get autographed posters from the concert but I got something better, autographs on the album itself.
FINALLY GOT MAY’N TO SIGN ON UNIVERSAL BUNNY! Managed to get Eir’s autograph, also Chelly’s and supercell ryo’s autograph. Then iceberry’s autograph on her Touhou artbook. Iceberry is a talented illustrator, I really like her works, you can check out her FB page here.
I also got to see May’n up close.
A number of bad things happened too and I will not go into details about those since I don’t really want to remember them. So overall, I am still alive, I can still play my games, I can still listen to music, I am thankful. I do hope 2014 will be more smooth sailing. And lastly, happy new year! I bet lots of people will write 2013 by mistake when they write the date for the first few weeks. 😀
I just read an article and I find it kind of amusing. You can read it here.
So after reading it, what I think is, somehow, this calculation is based on the fact that you work 365 days in a year.
Firstly, I have to say in advance that I do not own a business, I’m just a service crew in the F&B and my salary is not high.
Lets see, I believe most people get at least a day off per week, which means in a working year with 52 weeks, there are 52 days which you will not be at work.
Then in SG, there are all sorts of PHs like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas and so on. So, we get the days off for the PHs as well.
After that, we still got the annual leave ranging between 7 to 14 days or even more for some. And if you inculde the sick leave which you can take, and some can make a claim on the money they used for medical, it means more days off work.
So based on my own calculations, instead of not being paid for 29 days per year, you are actually paid more than you work(ignore the amt of salary you are getting since not everyone are being paid the same).
So why is not the 13th month bonus a bonus? Unless you expect your boss to pay you for the days you are not working. Of cos lah, this is for SG only, I don’t really know how does other countries work but oh well, I will still feel happy if I get a 13th month bonus.
Hi there, I had recently created a website with my buddy Yurienne. I will be posting over there and also here at the same time.
After much thought, I had decided that I will no longer upload any more music over here. I will still be recommending music just that it will be without any download link. But the download links that I had posted previously will still be around until it dies out by itself.
PS: the website is Yuri-en.
I kind of lost my passion for the doujin world these few days, not sure why but going to stop my uploading for a few weeks, till I regain my passion, or lose it totally in which case I might just stop altogether. Just wanna share a little story which I just read somewhere, which actually sums up what is happening around me recently.
Once upon a time, there were four persons named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it and Somebody got angry because it was Everybody’s job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn’t do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Went to Isetan Scotts today to get the Pikachu with Grass Knot, took a photo with Pikachu who made an appearance at 1pm.
Bought myself a strawberry roll. The photo is took after I got home and tried the roll, its ugly cos of my poor slicing technique. Today is the last day they are selling this roll. And it taste very nice, instead of the usual soft and spongy texture of swiss rolls, this one is actually chewy. And, the strawberries in between is quite big.
After meeting Pikachu, my buddy and I moved on to ION to have dim sum at Taste Paradise. We ordered a table of different types of dim sum.
My favourite is the custard bun there, its seriously epic.
The custard literally flowed out from it.
The price there is very reasonable for the food quality they offered. The staff there are quite nice and attentive too, filling our tea cups promptly.
PS： I posted this cos I was bored and don’t feel like uploading any music now.
